Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in a motion has confirmed that the budget is indeed missing against denial by the senate leader, Ali Ndume in the early hours of this morning that the budget is safe and intact.
Senate president Bukola Saraki stated that the issue has been reffered to a specific lawmakers to investigate while they await a feedback.
Coming from Order 41 of the senate standing rules the lawmaker from Abia State had noted that well meaning Nigerians are worried over the whereabout of the Budget.
He recalled that during the closed session of the senators on Tuesday, 12th January issues relating to the missing budget were discussed.
Abaribe urged the leadership of the 8th senate to act accordingly and provide a response to worried Nigeria who are waiting for the outcome of the budget.
"It is definite and urgent that we look into this matter"
Saraki in his response confirmed that the matter will be discussed in a closed door on the next legislative day Thursday 14th January 2015 .
