Senate to summon CBN over Devaluation.

The senate on Thursday, January 13 2016 summoned the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, over the continuos devaluation of the Naira.

In a point of order raised by Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, over the continuous devaluation of the Naira, he described it as worrisome.

Adding that the purchasing power of Nigerians is gradually  wearing out .

Senate President Bukola Saraki referring the motion to Tuesday, 19th January 2016, stated that the CBN governor will have to appear before the National Assembly to address the issue.

As at Thursday morning, the Naira exchanged at N1 to $305.
